You don’t need permission
The Social Innovation Manual is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. That license is deliberate — it means anyone can teach the framework, in any context, without asking ADP for permission.
You can:
- Teach the framework in your own courses, workshops, or training programmes
- Use the manual in classroom teaching at any educational level
- Adapt sections for your organisation’s internal training
- Build derivative material — slides, workbooks, case studies, video content
- Charge for your training, license your derivative work, or include it in a paid curriculum
The only requirement is attribution. Credit ADP as the source of the framework, indicate if you made changes, and don’t imply that ADP endorses your specific course or product.
That’s it. No registration, no fee, no application.
Why some trainers seek accreditation
Accreditation isn’t required to teach. But it’s useful if you want to:
- Prepare candidates for the official SIPC exam. This is the main reason. Only accredited trainers can advertise that they prepare candidates for the official certification exam administered by certN.
- Be listed in the official directory. Candidates searching for SIPC preparation training search ADP’s directory. Listed trainers get inbound enquiries.
- Use the “ADP-accredited” mark. A formal designation in your marketing that signals you’ve passed ADP’s review.
- Access the official training materials. Slide decks, exercises, instructor notes, and sample exam questions developed by ADP — available only to accredited trainers.
- Progress through tier recognition. Standard → Bronze → Silver → Gold based on experience and contribution.
